The Site Governance Team (SGT) is a shared decision making body, required at each school site by the San Diego Education Association (SDEA) collective bargaining agreement and the San Diego Unified School District Board of Education. Shared decision-making is an inclusion process where multiple constituency groups, often called stakeholders, work cooperatively to make decisions that positively affect student achievement.
The San Diego High School SGT includes teachers, counselors, the principal, classified staff, parents, students, and community members. The San Diego High School SGT meetings follow parliamentary procedure. The agendas and minutes are posted and available for public review, the meetings are open to the public, and 72-hour notice is posted as to the date, time and location; unless an emergency meeting is called.
